I got the preliminary character designs for Claire, Betsy, and the Martians! It's so exciting. I've never seen anything I've written illustrated before. Well, not outside of finger painting in the margins. It kept collecting under my nails though, and making my french fries taste funny, so I put an end to that. The artwork I have is still preliminary. No warts or cybernetic limbs or prehensile tails. Luckily, Claire doesn't have any. I'd say we're about 95% there. Still, I feel like I shouldn't introduce her to the world until she's complete. It's what's on the inside that counts anyway. Yeah, right. Gimme, gimme! I wanna see the pretty pictures!
